MetaCAM's sheet database manages inventory of new sheets, as well as remnant sheets that are generated by the nesting engine, or from interactively composed layouts. Sheets can then be tagged with priority labels, and commonly used sizes can be flagged so the nesting engine will pick them up automatically to complete nests.

The scheduler module can take a set of punch layouts that are ready to process and can suggest the optimal process sequence to minimize the overall tool re-mounts into the turret. It can also automatically re-map tools to alternate stations in their turrets to minimize re-mounts. The nesting engine can be configured to automatically invoke the scheduler to further simplify workflow.

Part, Model And NC Code Catalogues

MetaCAM has a variety of catalogues to simplify file management. The part catalogue can be used to index, search, filter and sort parts based on numerous attributes. The model catalogue can similarly be used to organize 3D models. The NC code catalogue can be used to organize NC code, with the code parsers built into MetaCAM extracting header information and displaying them as attributes.
The thumbnail catalogue can be used to browse through folders containing MetaCAM parts and models and can instantly display graphical thumbnails of all MetaCAM files. It can also be configured to display thumbnails for other file formats that MetaCAM imports

Parametric Ducts, Font Vectorizer And Space Frames

Parametric Ducts:Pick from a library of ducts and joints, plug in the dimensions and generate complex flats or 3D models in seconds. TrueType font Vectorizer: Create highly accurate letter forms using TrueType fonts in any language. Text etching has never been simpler. Space Frames: Create complex space frame nodes with arbitrary number of pipes, and process them using the rotary-axis cutting module.
